sunphibians |

as a beach lifeguard in hawaii i am merciless on my sunglasses. i have tried them all from oakleys to hobies and every type in between and sooner or later they have all failed me. either the lenses scratch too easily and fatigue my eyes after 8 hours of wear, or when i throw them off my head for a rescue they get damaged. the lenses also provide the best detailed viewing in a sun environment. i have worn the shiny black sunphibians day in and day out for two years and they are simply the best glasses i have ever owned. i wear them at work, during paddling sessions, riding my bike, out at dinner and during a 3o day back pack trip to italy where the italians all wanted to wear them. you will feel like george clooney strolling through his italian neighborhood...okay, maybe not that great. it broke my heart when i stepped on them by mistake. thank god i had a back up pair. sean gallagher

Best Glasses I own |

This review applies to the Sunphibian and the DragonFly. My wife bought me both for Christmas and my birthday. The visual quality is without compare. I normally use Serengetis while driving and I found that my Planet Sun shades provide a much clearer vision with superior darkness contrast. Based purely on lens quality I would recommend these. I have taken them hiking multiple times and use them while riding bike. They are, hands down, the best sunglasses I have ever tried.

My Favorite Glasses! |

I own a couple of Maui Jims, two variations of Oakley Razors and several sub-$200 sunglasses, but my Sunphibians are nearly always the first pair of glasses I find myself grabbing whenever I'm headed out on the water whether it be OC-1 paddling, kiteboarding, surfing or fishing/diving from my Wave runner. The built in band, grippy nose piece, great fit (I have a hard time finding glasses that my eyelashes don't rub on) makes this the best, and my most favorite sunglasses I've ever owned.
